Premarital Counseling
Using the nationally recognized preparing for marriage inventory called Prepare our marriage mentors help you learn to celebrate your couple strengths and experience growth as needed. This customized marriage preparation experience is a fantastic way to get your marriage started on a solid foundation while saving money on your marriage license!
Marriage Mentoring
Take the nationally recognized marriage inventory called Enrich and then go through the results with a marriage mentor couple. It is a great way to get a marriage “tune-up”!
DivorceCare
A thirteen week support group for those going through a divorce. This seminar/support group will help you deal with the losses, gather the learnings from your experience, and help you rebuild a new life in Christ that is filled with peace and joy.
Available Resources
Prepare inventory—this is like taking an x-ray of your relationship which helps to facilitate conversations that can result in healthier relationships. Prepare reveals areas of strength as well as areas of needed growth. This inventory covers the following major relational areas: communication, conflict resolution, partner style and habits, financial management, leisure activities, sexual expectations, family and friends, relationship roles, and spiritual beliefs. This inventory is taken online line and costs $35 which is paid directly online to Life Innovations who facilitates this inventory. The results are then shared in person by a trained facilitator. This is an excellent tool for pre-engaged and engaged couples to use in preparing for marriage!

Marriage Mentors—you have an opportunity to learn from others who are experiencing health and longevity in their marriage! Our trained marriage mentors are the ones who share the results of the Prepare and Enrich inventories and in the process they share their lives!
Great Dates—we have planned some special dates to help you have some fun together and grow as a couple! We will provide a quick video clip at the church with the goal of helping stimulate meaningful conversation while you go on your own customized date. Seminars—we provide occasional seminars designed to help couples to continue growing in their relationship. Watch the ChurchBeat and the bulletin for details.
Marriage 911—when you feel like there is an emergency taking place in your relationship and you are not sure what to do, call 911—actually contact Pastor Tim Cross and he will connect you with a great resource called Marriage 911 designed for just such a time. This journey includes you selecting an encouragement partner of the same gender to journey with you. If no one comes to mind, one of our marriage mentors would be happy to serve in this capacity.
Christian Counseling—our church’s counseling center offers just the help you need when you get stuck in a rut that prevents continued growth and it is extremely affordable. Or you can contact Pastor Tim Cross for some good referrals to other counselors in the area. .
