As part of the process of moving back into the Collegedale Church building, starting September 12, it was voted to do a phased in approach. Only the 11:45 a.m. Renewal service will meet indoors at this time. People will be allowed to worship inside the building of the Collegedale Church when they follow this protocol:
Attendees will enter through the North Atrium doors in the upper parking lot.
Temperatures will be taken at the door.
Masks are required within the facility. The Collegedale Church is working in partnership with the University and the school system and following their protocol. We realize this presents some levels of hardship and sacrifice to many, but we want to support the most vulnerable in our community.
Worshipers will be social distanced seated in the Sanctuary, every other row.
With the known dangers of corporate singing, and in coordination with health professionals and the University, we will ask that the congregation participate in corporate humming.
Worshipers will wait to be dismissed at the end of the service and will exit through the side doors. We ask that you not visit in the Sanctuary, but wait to do so until being outdoors in the parking lot.
Offering boxes will be available at the entrance and exit of the Sanctuary.
A series of questions will be asked before entering the building:
Are you having shortness of breath or other breathing difficulties?
Do you have a new onset cough (within the past week)?
Have you experienced at least two of the following symptoms within the past 48 hours?
Loss of taste or smell
Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
Are you or have you been in contact with any confirmed COVID-19 positive individuals within the past 14 days? If you are a medical professional who has been exposed while in full appropriate PPE, please answer “no”.
If you answer yes to any of the above questions we ask you to join us online for worship instead of in person.
