Please come and worship with us! If you are interested in attending our worship services, or any other program that is offered here, you are more than welcome. You do not have to be a member to attend.
Are you interested in transferring your membership to the Collegedale Church? If so, we’d like to offer a couple of suggestions.
For starters, we’d like you to find out a bit more about who we are and what we’re about. We believe that shared expectations are extremely important when it comes to any long term relationship. Your relationship with a potential home church is no exception.
This is why we provide a Discovering Discipleship class. This is an introductory class that we ask all prospective members to take. (transferring and new Christian Seventh-day Adventists) In this class we cover such topics as:
- The Collegedale Mission and Vision
- Collegedale's five Core Purposes
- Collegedale's four Covenants of Discipleship
- Membership Expectations
Once you complete the 2.5 hr. class, you’ll have a much better idea whether or not this is a church you'd like to join. At the end of the class, if your desire is to join the Collegedale church, we provide time for you to fill out a new member profile and the transfer process is initiated from there.
If you’re considering transferring here from out of town and have a desire for your children to be enrolled at either A.W. Spalding Elementary or Collegedale Academy, please know that receiving the constituent rate for their education at the beginning of the school year will not be dependent upon completion of this class by the start of the academic year. However, we do need to know your intention to follow through with this class at the earliest possible convenience. This we need to know prior to clearing your family for the constituent rate.
We’re not trying to make your transfer experience difficult by any means. But we do believe that shared expectations will make being a part of our church family a much more enjoyable experience. Pick up a Welcome/Just Thinking card at the church or give us a call and sign up for our next “Discovering Discipleship” class. We look forward to meeting you.
