Debbie Hinton

Debbie has lived in the Collegedale community since December 2001 at which time she joined our Church family. Her parents, Chuck and Jewel Whidden, have lived here for twenty-four years. She also has a brother who lives in Ooltewah and a sister in Ringgold. She has a daughter who lives in Baltimore, MD, and another brother who lives in Jacksonville, FL. "I have the best family ever!" says Debbie. "We love to get together as often as we can."

Before starting work at the Church, Debbie was a medical transcriptionist at the Center for Sports Medicine, and prior to that she was the assistant office manager at the East Tennessee Facial Surgery. When she heard of the position at Collegedale, she was interested in "the challenge and excitement associated with the position, the interaction with people, and the opportunity to be a part of ministry outreach."

Her outreach at the Church in the past has already included volunteering with Celebrate Recovery and with the ESL (English as a Second Language) program.

"My first week has been a busy one," says Debbie. "There is a lot to learn, but everyone has been willing to help. Grace was so 'Grace-ous' in preparing documentation for me. I enjoy interacting with everyone who stops by."

Debbie enjoys traveling, crocheting, reading, going out with friends, crafts, and having FUN. "My friends say I am mischievous," says Debbie. "I wonder how they got that impression?" Maybe we'll find out!
